An oasis in an otherwise large and dusty state. We visited here in the fall of 2008, and got hit with a hurricane (only a month after getting hit with one on the east coast for our wedding, go figure).
We were also there after a huge flood had taken out one of the campgrounds and a visitor center. Because the park is the size of Rhode Island and now did not have a cafeteria or place to get food, we had to drive 150 miles each time we wanted food. Good thing our car got 40mpg!!
