Calf Creek, Utah

Southwestern Utah is dry, but the rivers and canyons are lush and beautiful.  Nothing like a summer camping trip to a peaceful litte area called Calf Creek. Calf Creek is located in Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, a bit off the beaten path, but worth it. There is a great restaurant, Hell's Backbone Grill, in the canyon uplands not too far away (Boulder, UT), with local, free range angus burgers.  Yummm.
